Sometimes You Just Have To Feel It

Last week, I explored being thankful for everything – even the tiniest of things.

For Week 19, I decided to consider what I went through with trying to get just the right shot, and what it caused me to reflect on once the life lesson was learned.  This week was crazy between the #IFWE2012  conference, working outside of the office, and trying to holiday decorate, Christmas shop, and try to cram all my art projects and impending finals for the end of term all together.

I learned in the life lesson that i cannot force shots or creativity when it comes to self portraiture.  I have to “feel” the mood or else it is just a time waster.  I went through 2 failed sessions because I just wasn’t “in it”, and finally, when I “felt it”, I ended up with some really good shots I was happy with.

In honor of “getting my groove back”, I picked my second favorite shot from the “Bond” inspired #SSP to share with you for my 52 Project this week.

So…This week, I explore the #rightframeofmind and #feelingyourgroove.

Not Your Typical Bond Babe

For this week’s #SSP  we were charged with the task (or theme) to pull off a Bond related selfy, which proved harder than I thought.  I didn’t want to be too cliche with a standard Bond babe photo – after 3 different sessions, i really had lost hope that my “inner Bond” would prevail.

Low and behold, something did come to me this afternoon, and with a quick make-up session, I pulled it off! Woot!

For +Selfy Sunday with +Jeff Smith +LaDonna Pride and the rest of the G+ community, I give you me as my kind of Bond!

When Worlds Collide

+Kelly-Shane Fuller made me consider the fact that it is completely okay to let a little #halloweentown  flow into our #christmastown  celebration.  As you can see here, I have my Bruce Campbell’s Cream of Evil Soup shirt on while I was hanging lights!

For my pals and co-curators of both +Halloween Town and +Christmas Town +lane langmade +Lynn Langmade +Gene Bowker +Brad Buckmaster +Michael Albrecht +Tom McGowan and of course all of you!  I hope you have a wonderful Friday and weekend!

(I’m just that kind of holiday celebrator!)

Yes, I do have Powerman 5000 – When Worlds Collide in my head – it was on when I was in the shower!

What You Find Along Your Journey

On my way home, yesterday, from the conference, I passed the coolest bit of lawn art I have seen in a while.  So cool, I made a series of U-turns and whatnot in order to pull the car over and run into the lawn and capture it.

This was outside a design center, thus why it looked so slick!

I love when I see new stuff and it makes me get all creative.  Short of climbing on it, this was my favorite!  Happy Thursday/Friday!

As Her Days Go By, Her Perspectives And Views Change Like The Seasons.

Last year, on December 9th, I got LR3 and edited the first bloom from the sapling in the yard (

This was the same tree I swore was going to die as the trunk began to rot at the turn of spring.  Yet, the roots were strong and 7 or 8 branches began to grow from the ground during the summer and flourished even more at the start of the fall.

As we approach the one year mark, the tree has a myriad of flora blooming and I have a new perspective on how I choose to see (and shoot) the things that surround me!

I see a lot of myself in that tree! ♥

Have Peace; Will Smile

Last week, I explored being in my awesome bubble and shattering that glass of oppression.

For Week 18, I decided to think about all the things I am thankful for in life, being that it was Thanksgiving this week, and all.  When I think about being thankful for things, it makes me smile.  There are others out there that aren’t so fortunate and simple twists in fate can change thing at a moment’s notice, so I choose to be thankful for a great of things as my daughter and family to the smallest things like finding cheap gas and or an A on a school paper!

In honor of Thanksgiving, I decided to show a smile of thankfulness and light.

This week, I explore #thankfulness.
