She Is My Better Tomorrow

“Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them.” – Lady Bird Johnson

Yesterday was my munchkin’s 11th birthday…

I am pretty sure that I am the only one aging at this time; I think she is just getting taller!  Something I noticed was that I had not taken a proper portrait of her since around this time last year.  Everything else has just been snapshots.  This, in my opinion, is good and bad.  Good because that means we were out living life and the camera was only secondary to preserve the memories, but bad because I don’t want to look back and not have great shots of my beautiful one.

So, after the cake and presents of her birthday party, we headed home and I got to make a mini-session with my mini-me.  God, I love the use of Rembrandt lighting, especially how it carves out her youthful features!

She is growing up so fast before my eyes, but I adore the little lady she is turning out to be.  One of my biggest inspirations in life is her.  I don’t plan on changing that anytime soon.
